September 2010

Faith, arise in my heart today
Arise in my heart today.
I believe.

Faith, arise in my heart today
Arise in my heart today.
He lives.

I pray to a Living God.
He is a Person.
He is alive.

I pray to a Living God.
He is a Spirit.
He is near.

I pray to a Living God.
He lives within me.
He is listening attentively.

Jesus, You alone are worthy.
You gave Your life willingly.
Noone could take it from You.
You alone are worthy.

Psalm 139
Where could I go from Your Spirit?
Where could I flee from Your presence?

Nothing in all creation can separate me
Your left hand is under my head
Your right arm embraces me

You would never forsake me
You will not in anyway fail me
You will not in anyway give me up

You will not in anyway fail me
You will not in anyway give me up

You have called me Your own.

You called me.

YOU called me.

You called ME.

Where can I go?
Where can I flee?

I cannot get away from Your love.
All Your waves crash over me.

Even if I say, "Surely the darkness shall cover me."
Even if I say, "My weakness will overtake me."

You will give my strength to overcome
In my moment of trial
In my tribulation
You are with me, God.

Psalm 139

You are with me, God.

The Lord is my Light and my salvation
The darkness cannot overcome the light.

Even the darkness is as light to You.
In You is no darkness at all.

And in You is no shadow of turning.

Even the night shall be light all about me.

The light it shines in the darkness
The darkness cannot overcome it.

Even the night shall be as bright as the day.

You have overcome
You have overcome

You have overcome
You have overcome

You descended into the depths
You took the keys of hell
You overcame sickness & death

You have overcome
You have overcome, Jesus.

Shine Your light.

Even the night shall be Light
All around me.
Even the night
Shall be bright as the day.

Shine Your Light, God.
Shine Your Light, Jesus.

You will not in anyway fail me.
You will not in anyway give me up, Jesus.

You will never leave me.
You will not forsake me.
You are always with me.
You are always with me Jesus.

This is who You are.
I choose to believe.
The truth that You say about me.
I choose to believe that Your light dwells within me.
You give me strength in the moment when I need it.
You will be faithful.
You will be faithful.
So I will praise You.
For I have been fearfully & wonderfully made.
Your light dwells in me.
I will praise You.
For I have been fearfully & wonderfully made,
in Your image, God.
Wonderful are the works of Your hands.
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
You saw me there.
You saw me.
I am made in Your likeness.
Made in the image of Christ.

I bear Your image.
I bear Your fragrance.
Marvelous are all Your works.
I was made for Your glory.
Made for Your honor.

I was made for Your glory,
made for Your honor,
made for Your glory,
to bear Your name.

This is my purpose
All of my days

You made me
You formed me in my mother's womb.

I bear Your image.
Wonderful are all Your works.

Come be enthroned in the praises of Your people.
We declare You as worthy.
The only Son of the Living God, Jesus Christ.

I was made for Your glory
made for Your honor.
We are Your handiwork
In the image of Christ.

Jesus, Your light dwells in me
Your light has overcome.
You fashioned me,
According to Your image.

For I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Made in the image of God, I am.
This is who I am.
Wonderful are Your works.
This is who I am.
Wonderful are Your works.

Prayer Room Archive from Thursday, Aug.19, 2 a.m.

let Your love abound (chorus)

-Clay Edwards and team-

let my heart be found
abiding in the Vine
abiding in Your love

You are wrapped in light
in garments that are bright
you are Holy
the Uncreated God

You are wrapped in light
in garments that are bright
and the train of Your robe
fills the temple

We will cry
We will cry
We will cry
Holy is the Lord

... ... ... ...

If I could just touch the hem of Your garment today
Of this I'm certain
that I'd never be the same
For when I encounter
Your Person, Your work, and Your ways
The one response I can give
Is to bless Your name

... ... ... ...

For You are Holy
You are meek and You're lowly
There's no contradiction
in Who You are
Your garments are fragrant
Your garments make statements
Displaying Your person, Your work and Your ways

For You are Holy
You are meek and You're lowly
There is no contradiction
in Who You are
Your garments are fragrant
Your garments make statements
displaying Your person, Your work, and Your ways

If I could just touch the hem of Your garment today
Of this I'm certain
That I'd never be the same
For when I encounter Your person, Your work, and Your way

The one response I can give
Is to bless Your name

For You are Holy
You're meek and You're lowly
There is no contradiction
In who You are

Your garments are fragrant
Your garments make statements
Displaying Your person, Your work and Your ways

Psalm 139, yet again today.

there is a theme in the prayer room today
this happens quite frequently
Psalm 139 this time from my friend Audra & team today at 2:00 p.m.

He looks on me with love
He looks upon me with tenderness in His eyes

Nothing is hidden from Your gaze
You have searched me
You have known me
Everything is laid bare before your eyes

You are acquainted with all my ways
So familiar with all my ways
You know all things
You know my heart
Nothing is hidden from Your sight, God
You created me
You are the Author
the Perfecter of my faith

Nothing is hidden from Your gaze
You've seen it all
You know it altogether

Nothing is hidden from Your gaze
You see it all
You know me well

'Cause You're looking for a friend
Do You see one in me?
Have you found a friend in me?

You're looking for a heart who is loyal
A heart who is after Your heart
Searching for a resting place

Am I what You are looking for?
'Cause all I want is to know Your heart
You have laid Your hand upon me.

You are not a god afar off
You are so well acquainted with all of my ways
You are so near to my heart
So well acquainted with all of my ways
You are near to my heart

So well acquainted with all of my ways
You are near to my heart

You've laid Your hand upon me
You've laid Your hand upon me

You are near to my heart

Who am I that You should think of me
You care
Tenderness in Your eyes

You are near to my heart

I Am Known. I Am Loved.

Psalm 139 v1-6
Misty Edwards & team

You know me best
You love me the most

You've searched me
and You know me

You know that I love You
Lord, You know all things

...you've wondered your whole life,
"Does anybody get me? Does anyone understand me?"

(from God's perspective)
I've hedged you in from before & behind
I know you
I've laid my hand upon you
I know your ways
I know your heart perfectly
...and I love you.
I've laid my hand upon you

Lord, You see me
You know me

Wonderful, so wonderful
Beautiful, so beautiful

(from the perspective of God)
I just can't look away
I just can't turn my eye
When you look my way
With one glance of your eye
You've ravished my heart.
(again, from His heart)
I understand you
I like you
You're the one I want
Beautiful as Tirzah
(still from God's perspective, when His people give their hearts to Him)
Awesome as an army with banners
Lovely as Jerusalem
Turn your eyes away from Me
My favorite one
You've ravished My heart.
I understand you
I like you
When you look at me
Your the only one I see
You've ravished My heart.

From the Heart of the Living God

(from the perspective of the heart of God through Christ)

I knew what I was getting into
When I called YOU...
...and I like you

I knew what I was getting into when I said your name
...but I said it just the same

I still want you
Even Elijah had a nature like yours
All my friends had a nature like yours

What makes men great is humility
and faith

I knew what I was getting into
and I still chose you
...more than tolerate you

I know where this thing
it is going
You're just at the beginning

and I can see the end of the story
all that fighting and breaking
is working in you humility
...it is like gold

and I am not surprised
I am not repulsed
...when you realized your weakness

you're the one that was shocked
...but I still wanted you

You're more than a project just to make Me look good.
It's more than mercy
It's more than pity

I see something more in you
I see something you can't see in yourself

I knew what I was getting into
...when I beckoned you.

And I don't regret it at all.
And I don't regret it at all.

Chorus by Misty Edwards.Saturday 2 pm.Everything is in My Hands

Just take it day by day by day
Step by step by step

I understand
I understand

It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be ok

I can take your mistakes
With your humility
I'll turn them around

Psalm 16

Oh, Preserver of my soul, keep me.
Overseer of my life, keep me.

I look to You
Lift my eyes up to You.

Not Human Reasoning, but True Love: John 15

Matthew 16 I ask You, Spirit of the Living God, to reveal what flesh and blood simply cannot.

Love in form I know not of.

Nothing like this has been displayed on earth by any other.

John 15

As the Father love Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. ...the words of Christ Jesus.

Chorus by Misty Edwards and team at 6 p.m. today:
Who can comprehend
The way we are loved
Who can comprehend
Like the Father loves the Son
I want to enter in
To divine love

Abide in My love
My beloved

Spirit of God,
I pray that You would reveal what flesh and blood cannot

Reveal love to a generation that is living devoid of true love.
Wandering
Searching
Deperate
Hurting
...many unaware of their own depravity
...not asking for You
...not looking for anything outside of themselves
Wandering
Searching
Desperate
Hurting

I ask You, Spirit of the Living God, to reveal what flesh and blood cannot.
Reveal what my words cannot.

I Am Never Alone ... Psalm 23 ...

... ... ... ...

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I won't be afraid.
For You are with me.
Lord, You're my light
Lord, You're my salvation
I will not be afraid
My eyes are on You, Lord
This world is not my home
I'm simply passing through
Though I walk
Through the valley
You are for me
You are with me
Upholding me
Transforming me

So I will not
Will not give up

My soul You keep
In this I am confident
In You I am confident
Though a thousand fall at my left
Ten thousand at my right

You are with me
The Lord of Hosts is with me
He is for me
He is with me

I have a God who fights for me
I have a God who is with me
He avenges me
The Lord of Hosts

It is God who avenges me
My times are in His hands
The enemy can't take away His plan
The eyes of the Lord are on me
That is enough for me
He sees everything
That is enough for me
He knows everything

In this I will be confident
His presence is with me
His plans are good
His eyes are ever on me
This is my confession
This is my testimony

Be still my soul
Be still and know

Jesus has a plan for me
What God has planned for me
The enemy cannot stop
God has all authority
He has all power
His name is Jesus
He is the Lord of Hosts

Be still my soul
Be still and know

Everything is in Your hands
Greater is He that is in me
Everything is in Your hands
Greater is He who lives in me

Be still my soul
Be still and know

His name is Yaweh
He is alive
His name is Yaweh
Jealousy is in His heart
His name is Yaweh
He is alive
His name is Yaweh
My name is written in His heart

He has not forgotten
He has never forsaken
I am not forgotten
I am not forsaken

"My Hope" by Tim Wanstall, Matt Redman, Robert Marvin

This is one of my favorite songs!!
Simple sounds of keys & cello.

(verse words, public domain; written by Edward Mote, circa 1834, first appeared in Mote's Hymns of Praise, 1836)

love this song:

My hope is built
On nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust
The sweetest frame
But wholly lean
On Jesus' Name

When the mountains are falling
When the waters are rising
I shall be safe in You
Though the nations are quaking
Every kingdom be shaken
Still I will rest in You

When darkness seems
To hide Your face
I rest on Your
Unchanging grace
In every high
And stormy gale
My anchor holds
Within the veil

Confession of My Hope

...Hebrews 10:23...Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful...
He who PROMISED is FAITHFUL
... ... ...
You, my God, my Maker
upholding this heart
You, Christ Jesus, my savior
keeping this soul

I rest here
I trust in you
leaning into You
This is my worship

You who promised is faithful
You who promised is faithful

You are Creator
You are Sustainer
I have need
I come boldly
I draw near
in full assurance of faith
Faith in You
Faith in who You are
... ... ...

...Romans 8:22 for we know that the WHOLE CREATION groans & labors with birth pangs...23 not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly awaiting for the ADOPTION, the REDEMPTION of our body...24 for we were saved in this HOPE; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 but if we hope HOPE for what we do not see, we eagerly await for it with PERSEVERANCE. 26 likewise the Spirit HELPS US in our weaknesses for we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God... He knows how to bring about HIS PURPOSE, together with those who love Him...

...and He who PROMISED is and forever will be FAITHFUL.

greater love has no one than this

... ... ...

"As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends."

this Love I've found

... ... ...
for even when my heart condemns me
You, O Lord are for me.
for even when my heart turns away from You
You, O Lord faithfully wait for me.

therefore
I lean
lean into Your faithfulness
therefore
I lean
lean upon Your goodness

In my weakness You are faithful
In my brokenness You are faithful

For where could I go from Your Spirit
Oh where could I flee from Your presence

Hope in My Wilderness

... ... ...

Hosea 2:14

"Therefore, behold, I will allure her,
Will bring her into the wilderness,
And speak comfort to her.
I will give her
her vinyards from there,
And the Valley of Achor
as a door of hope;
She shall sing there,
As in the days of her youth,
As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt."
"And it shall be, in that day, " says the Lord,
"That you will call Me, 'My Husband,'
And no longer call Me 'My Master,'
For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals,
And they shall be remembered by their name no more.
In that day I will make for them
With the beasts of the field,
With the birds of the air,
And with the creeping things of the ground.
Bow and sword of battle
I will shatter from the earth,
To make them lie down safely.
"I will betroth you to Me forever;
Yes, I will betroth you to Me
In righteousness and justice,
In lovingkindness and mercy;
I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness,
And you shall know the Lord."

"It shall come to pass in that day
That I will answer," says the Lord;
"I will answer the h
eavens,
And they shall answer the earth.
The earth shall answer
With grain,
With new wine,
and with oil;
They shall answer Jezreel.
Then I will sow her for
Myself in the earth,
And I will have mercy on her
who had not obtained mercy;
Then I will say to those who were not My people,
'You are My people!'
And they shall say,
'You are my God!' "

...Yes, there is HOPE in the wilderness...

John 14
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in ME." Jesus
John 17:26
"And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."

... ... ...

A Psalm of David-36:5-9

Psalm 36:5-9

Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Your Righteousness is like the great mountains;
Your judgements are a great deep;
O Lord, You preserve both man & beast.
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.
They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house,
And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.
For with You is the fountain of life;
In Your light we see light

A Song Sung by Misty Edwards, today 2 p.m.

Let not the one who waits
Be put to shame
Come vindicate us with Your presence

I will wait forever, my Love
I will wait forever for You to come
I will wait
I will wait upon the Lord

how do I know what love is?

Let my life be a response to love.
He loved me first. (John 3)
I receive this gift of love.
I am not my own, He bought me with a price.

1 Cor. 6:20 For you were bought at a price ; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are now God's.

Song of Songs 1:2-3
Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His Word. For Your love, oh Lord is better than wine. Because of Your good perfumes... Your name is like purfume poured forth; therefore Your people love You.
...my prayer...I want to know how high, how deep, how wide is the love of Christ. Your love is better than wine...better than even permissable earthly pleasures. This is what I want to experience in my life. Father of Glory (Eph. 1:17-19), grant to me Your spirit. Let Your Son kiss me with kisses of Your Word. Spirit of the Living God, Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of Counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord (Is.11:2)

...I belong to Christ Jesus.

Song of Songs 2:3-4
I sat down in His shade with great delight, and His fruit was sweet to my taste. He brought me to His banqueting table. His banner over me was love.

...I sat down...I lay my burdens down. At the finished work of the cross of Christ. My plans, my striving to achieve.
...My pain, my grieving. I lay that down too.

Is. 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. v.5 but He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed, v.6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Ps. 23 He led me there. My Good Shepherd. Led me beside still waters.

...So I will rest.
...My soul will rest.

Amen.

Wisdom from Proverbs 16:
1The preparations of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.
2All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the spirits.
3Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts will be established.
4The LORD has made all for Himself, Yes, even the wicked for the day of doom.
5Everyone proud of heart is an abomination to the LORD; Though they join forces, non will go unpunished.
6In mercy and truth
Atonement is provided for iniquity;
And by the fear of the LORD one departs from evil.
7When a man's ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
8Better is a little with righteousness, Than vast revenues without justice.
9A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.
10Divination is on the lips of the king; His mouth must not transgress in judgement.
11Honest weights and scales are the LORD'S; All the weights in the bag are His work.
12It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, For a throne is established by righteousness.
13Righteous lips are the delight of kings, and they love him who speaks what is right.
14As messengers of death is the king's wrath, but a wise man will appease it.
15In the light of the king's face is life, and his favor is like a cloud of the latter rain.
16How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
17The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; He who keeps his way preserves his soul.
18Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
19Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
20He who heeds the word wisely will find good, and whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he.
21The wise in heart will be called prudent, and sweetness of the lips increases learning.
22Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it, but the correction of fools is folly.
23The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, And ads learning to his lips.
24Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.
25There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.
26The person who labors, labors for himself, for his hungry mouth drives him on.
27An ungodly man digs up evil, And it is on his lips like a burning fire.
28A perverse man sows strife, and a whisperer separates the best of friends.
29A violent man entices his neighbor, And leads him in a way that is not good.
30He winks his eye to devise perverse things; He purses his lips and brings about evil.
31The silver-haired head is a crown of glory, If it is found in the way of righteousness.
32He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
33The lot is cast into the lap, But its every decision is from the LORD.

What an Author

an excerpt
from the book, The Spirit of Prophecy, "An Examination of the Prophetic Call" by Arthur Katz:
For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (Rev. 19:10b).

" There is a powerful and irrevocable identification between the Lord Jesus, His own distinctive person, and the spirit or essence of that which is prophetic. The bond between the two is inextricable and intimate. To miss the meaning of the prophetic is to miss the Lord. To reject the prophetic is to reject Him. Jesus Himself functioned as a prophet, and what He is in Himself is what the prophetic thing is in itself. It is that joined." pg. 7
